Very beautiful and majestic ensemble. Went on a tour with my friend's friend who was a local resident in Samarkand and Muslim. When we went inside the altar and he prayed while I sat on the bench nearby. I did feel the Holy Spirit presence and I instantly got uplifted for the entire day, even though I was pretty exhausted. I am Christian by the way.nTruly the holy place!

Truly magnificent and spiritual place. Offering prayers in this mosque is a mesmerising experience.

Restored very recently, this Samarqand mosque is magnificent; when first built in the early 15thC it was one of the largest.
