Subhasis Mahato (11/18/2020)
Going to this place since childhood. There is two runways. Locals call them choto-paka(small one) and boro-paka(bigger one). The helipad is on the bigger one. It is used for very rare occasions though. People come here often to get away the city to have a peaceful evening, to exercise, to learn driving. And this place is attracting many photogenics in recent days.

The development of Chharrah Airstrip hitherto remaining abandoned in the district of Purulia, will give the much needed impetus for some infrastructure development since long awaited.nIn the absence of any industrial development, the State Government has rightly taken the initiative for easy access by easy mode of transport to areas surrounded by hills like Ayodhya with abundant Natural beauty drawing attention of the the tourists and trekkers as well from different parts of the country and in the process give an opportunity to the local people to have a decent earning. And only time will tell how far is the goal.
