Stayed in sites 245 and 247. Nice drainage at the park and they have put rock down between the pad and picnic table. Pads are a little wider and a little longer than other campgrounds so that provides extra sitting room. The fire pit at 247 is in the middle of trees so you may not be able to avoid the smoke. Trees are established so they provide really nice shade.

We spent a RARE December 9 & 10, 2020 at THE LAKE. Temperature was in the 70s and the sun brought warmth and brightness to an otherwise disappointing year of COVID. There were very few people ANYWHERE!! No traffic. No lines. No congestion. But, everyone had masks on.. Silver Dollar City is safer than the grocery stores in South St Louis County!! It was an enjoyable experience. I just can't stop thinking about people losing their quaint little businesses. Thanks for the momentary calm.

Always love coming here to camp!!!! Esp late in the year when its cooler. Less crowded. We used the platform camping for first time this year and it was great!! So quiet and peaceful there!!! The weather was great. Everything was clean as usual. We will be back again as always!
