St. Paul's Church at Tongo, on Gumla Chainpur Road is a Roman Catholic church. This was established in 1901. The Present new Church was blessed in 1999 to celebrate the Centenary of this mission. This church has been serving the local community from a long period of time with medical and educational services when these were practically non-existent. The church festivals here are celebrated with great solemnity and fervour here.
