CSI Christ Church Cathedral, one of the oldest and historically remarkable parishes in Kollam. This Cathedral is the fruit of London Missionary Society, that commenced their work in Kollam in 1821. The first Church edifice was dedicated in 1910. In 1947 it becomes the part of Church of South India. The remodelled and renovated church building was re-dedicated in 1979 by Bishop N.D. Ananda Rao Samuel, Moderator, and the church was re­ christened Christ Church. After the formation of CSI Kollam-Kottarakara Diocese in 2015 & the consecration of its first Bishop in 2017 the church becomes the Cathedral. Regular services on every Sunday 08.00 am.

I belong to this church. We maintain this church building with emphasis on its antiquity.That is why we keep the lawn in the church yard.Laying interlock tiles on the yard as many others do ,will kill the ambience the compound.

One of the main Church Of CSI founded by missionaries. And now the center of KOLLAM-KOTTARAKKARA Diocese & bishop house is located here
