Kendriya Vidyalaya is one of the top schools in India as far as English medium schools are concerned. This school at Paralakhemundi is a bliss to Gajapati dist people and specially oriya people living in Paralakhemundi because earlier there was only one school in Pathapatnam in Andhra St. Anns school which is a good school near to Paralakhemundi but it is not in Odisha but in Andhra and about 8- 10 km from Paralakhemundi. Other schools in Paralakhemundi include St Joseph school at dola Bandha but it is only upto Upper Primary it does not teach board classes. But only concern I am giving 4 star here because of the location it is little bit far from city on the top of a hill which is called Betaguda and it is little lonely at evening or night for the people to transit. This place is yet to be developed only there are some govt institution like Reserve police office, fire brigade office, police quarters etc at this location.
