A truly gorgeous museum dedicated to the Lakota people. Lots of work went into getting the artifacts and dioramas set up. If you follow the path in a clockwise fashion you will follow a timeline from the early 1800s to modern times. Good gift shop in the center. Also a beautiful outdoor space in the back. This is a must stop if you are in the area.

Great museum with free admission! Perfect for kids when you want to stop to experience & appreciate native history & culture but know they won't last too long. Plus the kids got goodie bags when they left! The video about the Indian Schools history in the bus kept the kids attention too & we all learned a lot! The gift shop is also extensive & filled with beautiful things & books to take home to keep learning.

This was a great visit and experience. We visited more on a fluke as we were driving across the country. A bit off the beaten path and takes a few minutes to get there but well worth it. Portions of the center cover the Lakota and part discusses the history of the school campus it is built on. A great out of the way place to visit.

Great exhibits and interactive for children. It's worth the extra miles of the highway for a great free education.
