It is the ceremonial parade ground of the world's largest border guarding force, the Border Security Force. It witnesses high level ceremonial functions of the Force like the BSF day parade. It is not the biggest parade ground but since it is located in Delhi, it is the preferred venue for all high level ceremonial parades.
