One of the larger stations on the Guntur - Chennai section of the Indian Railways. It's comes under the jurisdiction of the newly formed South Coast Railway Zone, Vijayawada Division. It has 4 platforms, and quite a few passenger amenities, including an Automated Ticket Vending Machine.nSufficient seating arrangements for passengers, waiting rooms and refreshment stalls, make it a comfortable place to wait for a train.nIt is also served by an escalator.

Station premises are maintained very well. One of the very first stations to get elevators. Well connected to all major stations.

Chirala railway station has 4 platforms, it has lift facility at 1st and 3rd platforms. It is comparatively clean and neat than many other stations. If your train has come to 1st platform, then it is confirm that your train has put on crossing for some other train to pass. Chirala bus stand is just few metres away from railway station. Railway station has good transport facility almost 24 hours.
