It's the place where Srimanta Sankar Dev composed the epics,the BORGEET,his uniwue style of singing, honored by the Assamese prople as GURU that is TEACHER.Had there been no Sankardev ther wouldn't have been Assamese Society,Culture, Literature,and its heritage.
