Faagun Haveli Orchha

I stayed at Faagun Haveli for 3 nights and totally enjoyed it. Received a warm welcome and was delighted to feel the peace and quiet when standing on my room's balcony. The room is spacious and clean, staff friendly and helpful. The food is fresh, pure and very good. Mayuri is a great host who makes you feel at home. Besides all the gorgeous sites of Orchha, the village behind the hotel is also a lovely place to spend some tranquil time. All of the above made my stay extremely pleasant.

It's way far away from the city. Despite that the staff was not prepared to host the guests. They were not stocked with supplies at all. Not even the basic things. For everything they had to run to the city and get. Power cut was a major issue, it kept going off and on. Food prepared by the staff was either tasteless or short all the time. They had number of issues pertaining to hospitality. You would expect the staff to be their best or have the best resources, but nothing. Do not recommend the place at all.

We visited Orchha in early March 2019 and stayed at Faagun Haveli. In simple words, it was an awesome experience. Right from its interiors, spacious rooms, kitchen garden, serene surrounding, friendly staff and last but not the least, the delicious food, everything was warm and welcoming. You can trust them on whatever they offer to cook for you. Although it is located a little away from the centre of the town, getting around is easy with an auto rickshaw/tum-tum. It is nestled amidst a tiny village on the way towards Chaddwari temple. You can spot neelkanth, sun birds, Indian robins, parakeets and lot of such birds. You can even experience the rustic side of India in the village here, where you can try your hand at milking cows, have home cooked food at villager's house, ride a bullock cart etc. Four days well spent!

Located in a very isolated area. Looks good but will not suggest you if you want stay near the main area.

It's an amazing place. Around 2km away from the town Orchha. However it's the best place if you are looking at a peaceful stay. You can easily commute to the town my rickshaw. Rooms are clean and hygienic. Decor is simple yet appealing. Staff here is very helpful and courteous. Also, food is delicious. I would definitely recommend it if you are visiting Orchha.
