Back in April end this year i travelled to Kashmir. Indeed a heaven. It was my first trip to Kashmir ❤. We were 3 friends & below is our itinerary with per person cost.nnDay1: Delhi- Chandigarh by Janshatabdi (Rs.150)nChandigarh- Jammu by Zimindara Ac sleeper bus (Rs.600)nnDay2: Early morning bus from Jammu to Banihal from bus stand (Rs.120)nBanihal to Srinagar by Passenger train (Rs.20). Seats are very comfortable in this train.nTaj Mahal Houseboat check-in (Rs.400)nMain road to Houseboat by Shikara & sunset ride (Rs.300)nExplored Srinagar a little during sunsetnnDay3: Early morning Srinagar to Sonamarg by bus (Rs.100)nHotel Barzman check-in (Rs.600)nThajiwas Glacier treknZojila visit & back (FREE ud83dude01, A couple was going there in their own car so we requested them to take us with them, they happily agreed)nNight walk in Sonamarg with full moon & so many stars ❤nnDay4: Early morning Sonamarg to Srinagar by taxi from taxi stand (Rs.120)nSrinagar to Banihal by Passenger train (Rs.20)nBanihal to Jammu by shared taxi (Rs.200)nJammu to Delhi by Duronto Express 3AC (Rs.1200).nnDay5: Reached Delhi at 5 a.m.nnTotal cost is approx 4000 Rs.nPlus 2000 Rs. for food & other little expenses.nnSo this is how you visit Kashmir under 6k ud83dude09.

It is a flower laden meadow in between the imposing Himalayan range that boasts of wafting scents of fir and pine forests. Sonmarg is a popular base for trekking to nearby locales and is as much a preferred family destination as it is for the adventure enthusiasts.nnThe Indus River offers fresh trout and mahaseer (freshwater carp fish) and glistening rapids for whitewater rafting. The Thajiwas valley at the foot of Sonmarg offers plenty of camping sites and picnic spots with mighty white glaciers set against the lush green meadow.nnPilgrims throng Baltal, 13 kilometres from Sonmarg for the annual pilgrimage of Amarnath. Half-hour drive from Sonmarg is the curious Kheer Bhawani Temple where locals believe that the natural spring surrounding the temple at times changes colour.nnSonmarg allows you to experience different types of weather in a single day – a sunny morning, rainy afternoon and a cold evening.
