Liked it more now in winter than previous summer trip. River is best explored from the car park outside. Inside part is little touristy. Hawkers and guides are very annoying. Though I understand this is their livelihood, they should learn to accept a No.

Betaab valley is situated at a distance of 15 kilometers from Pahalgam in Anantnag district.nBetaab Valley lies between the two Himalayan Ranges – Pir Panjal and Zanskar.nBetab Valley is a very popular touristic destination. Betaab Valley is also a favorite campsite of travelers as it also serves as a base camp for trekking and further exploration of the mountains.nThe valley is a walk-able distance from Pahalgam. The crystal clear & chilly water of the stream bubbling down from the snowy hills is a delight; locals here drink this water too. Baisaran and Tulian Lake are few nearby attractions that can be visited.

It's a beautiful place but sadly there's too many man-made structures for my liking. It's good for picnics though.nnThe crowd is a mix-lot. You'll see families, groups of friends and even people you'd call chapri.nnOverall a nice experience.
