Connectivity to this place is good via public transport and train services. Famous for coconut and especially for the India's biggest copra market. Has good educational institutes catering to the local demand and their surroundings

We had 3 tier AC ticket but there wasn't any normal waiting room. There was only 1waiting room for AC but they said renovation work going on.so it was closed.

Tiptur is an important hub for coconut trade and related industries. It's an educational center as well. It's one of the farthest, important cities of Tumkur district and home to many government employees who travel everyday by train. As a result, it has a good amount of traffic and one station each were added in either direction to manage it.

Compared to other railway stations this is the best . Sanitation maintained properly. Even staffs are responsive. Has a wheelchair accessible entrance. Parking on payment for 2 and 4 wheelers present. But toilets have to be kept clean. None will use this due to its uncleanliness.
