It a vibrant region at the end of suburban railway. Most popular place for visiting a famous Devi temple, called as Jivdani Mata. There are most numbers of resorts and water parks in Arnala area, accessible from Virar station. Overall it a well developed town like Mumbai, yet away from Mumbai.

Station has all required public facilities like escalators, lifts, stairs, connectivity Bridges and Hygienic Toilets. The station has help desk with good number of security people to handle crowd. Most of the time the station is Clean even after thousands of people traveling through the stationr. Trains start from here and it is last stop for most of the local trains. Also some mail long distance train halt here.
