If zero stars or negative stars would have been allowed would have given them as rating. -3 so far as I am concerned. Techno Economic Feasibility Study was done in 2001 and in-priciple approval was also granted the same year.nIt has been 19 years and not even a compound wall has seen the light of the day. Two parties ruled the state since then each for 10 years. Politicians have just used the gimmicks to garner votes and builders have used the opportunity to sell properties at super premium prices.nThird class politics and worst business economics.nnKerala a communist state conceptualized and made Kannur international airport with wide bodied and night landing facilities in seven years flat.

It is Dream because till some Environmental clearances are remain to get. Without these clearances no any athourity or officers will dare to make concrete announcements make.nnDue to fear of High and Supreme courts as well as National green tribunal action actual work can't be start, whatever which work is going on is only land surfacing work,nnMajor question is this location is touch to main sea. All area is Marcy land and mud prone area of cost. Environmental Law is very hard and strict in India. Everybody is afraid in India for Court action, there is political disputs always going on in between Federal and State Government's in India. Now in State opposition party Government.nnTherefore only God can predict future of this Airport. Whatever political party or Governments claim is only Astrology.

This airport is under construction. Expected completion date has shifted from 2019 to 2020. Even 2020 looks aggressive. 2022 might be more realistic.
