Electrician was very polite and conscientious. We had two outdoor lights, a receptacle and a ceiling fan installed in a pavilion. He did good job of making sure the wiring was neat and asked questions along the way to ensure we got exactly what we wanted.

i recently had a whole house generator installed. From the initial contact to the project completion, the entire Dowdy team was friendly, professional and helpful. When Bud came over for the initial discussions, I had a list of questions prepared. He handed me information that answered many of them before I even asked. During installation, the team was friendly and efficient. They worked hard to keep the site clean during and after installation. We are extremely pleased to have this backup power source and we would highly recommend Dowdy Electric!

Unfortunately cannot provide a good review for Dowdy Electric. We had them out to quote the install of a new outlet above our microwave (and hang the microwave) and they quoted us at $760. The competition came out and did it for $315.. Our technician was very nice and professional, however I cannot get over the ridiculous quote to install an outlet and microwave..

I can say that I had one of the most disappointing customer service experiences today thanks to Dowdy Electric, Heating & Cooling Co. PLEASE READ to avoid this happening to you or yours. My mom called to have an outlet repaired. Unfortunately for her, it the outlet was a GFI. Simple push of the button and it was reset. The technician was there no longer than five minutes. She was charged $99 for this service. I understand the need for trip charges. Albeit, $99 seems like an exorbitant amount for a minimum. I would be okay had she been told that there was a minimum charge or trip charge when she set up the appointment. And the company admittedly said they do not tell customers unless they ask when I called to complain. Lying by omission is still lying in my opinion! Leaving out information that may influence a customer's decision on choosing your service is nothing less. In the interest of full disclosure, they did offer 10% back when I called. I declined. The offering of a discount, though it was minimal, is an admission of wrong doing in my book. I encourage you to think twice before using this company. Thank you to those that read this far for allowing me to vent to you. Sorry that this was so long, but when it feels as though your family was taken advantage of it stings a bit.
