Sharat Chandra Gupta, the station master went up to the monk and started a conversation. Impressed by his knowledge and disposition, Gupta requested the monk to be his guest that night and took him to his quarter, which is just beside the station. After spending a day, the monk wished to start his journey towards Haridwar, but the Assistant Station Master told him to wait, he then went to the station, submit his resignation and leave with the monk as his disciple, thus becoming the monk’s first initiated disciple and together they traveled to Rishikesh. 220px Swami Sadananda direct disicple of Swami Vivekananda - Perspective: Swami Vivekananda and Hathras The monk was none other than Narendranath Dutta who later became Swami Vivekananda and the station master of Hathras Junction was Sharat Chandra Gupta, who later become Swami Sadananda, popularly known as the Gupta Maharaj in Ramakrishna order.

Like this review- At a little distance from Hathras city. Rickshaw available 24/7 hours for Hathras city. This place is not usually crowded but sometime you make face crowd at ticket counter. Very pleasant place greenery All Around The Hathras railway station. I found this is station always neat and clean condition.

A junction point ...or the middle point to Delhi, Gaziabad , Aligarh,Tundla, Kanpur,Lucknow,Mathura, Jaipur,Ahemdabad,gorakhpur,Bandra Terminus,kasganj,Bareilly,Pilibhit ,Tanakpur etc. One can change their trains to any mentioned places .... near by places are Agra,Aligarh,Mathura and Kasganj.

I visit this station once in every week. This place is clean and good environment here.
