Primrose School

A good and standard school with all infrastructure for easy and hassle free learning.

Having graduated from Primrose (class 10) in 2017, there are quite a few things I have got to say about Primrose. First things first, the student-teacher ratio here is terrific, with a maximum of 400 students and 50 teachers. The amount of individual attention and care a child gets here is unparalleled in the city, with other schools being obsessed with producing academic results alone and nothing else. Every child's passion is encouraged here, given that hard work is put in by the student. I've come across a few misconceptions about the school in the Pondicherry community, so I would like to clear those up as well. No, this school is not very costly(my class 10 fees was 44000). No, this school is not very hi-fi or snobbish, as students from all communities attend. No, there is no undue pressure on the students to perform academically, but they ensure that the bright students are made to work hard. Additional support is given to great extents by the teachers, and no, the teachers here are not strict. One thing that is not very good about the school is that the facilities for sports and extra-curriculars could use improvement. For a young child, Primrose is an amazing option till class 10 where they can be brought up in a nurturing, welcoming environment. However, for class 11 and 12, since the school is affiliated to the ISC board, there are not a lot of students, so student life becomes dull. However, the number of students is steadily increasing, as people are recognising the benefits of the ISC board and how its students are a class apart. Being one of the youngest Assistant School People Leaders in the school's history, I could not have asked for a better place to shape my life in my formative years. Post class 10, Primrose alumni have gone on to study in prestigious schools in class 11 and 12, and gained admission into the best colleges in the country, including IIT. Primrose ensures peace of mind for the parents, if effort is put in by both them and the child. The curriculum is the most demanding course available in Pondicherry, but make no mistake; the students attending Primrose will be smarter than their peers from other schools.
