Stopped over for lunch. Wide open valley around spectacular snow capped mountains. Saw wild yaks on the way leading up to here. Some are crossed with domestic cattle for porting jobs. There's also some horses. Pasta, boiled potatoes, eggs and tea.

Another nice camping spot . We stayed in our tent in October 2013 . Me, Tarak , Sabya & Santanu doing this trek . In trekkers hut near about 25 accomodation . There are a kitchen hut also. But chance to getting room / bed very less . You have to prepare with your own tent and ration . One can climb to Thansing top in the morning for better view and experience . One can attempt Goeachala from here and again back to Thansing . Then you have to start very early , almost at midnight . If you stay one night in Lamunye you can trek relaxly .

The trekkers hut in Thansing is located in a beautiful place surrounded by snowcapped mountain peaks on the trail between Dzongri to Lamuney of the popular Goecha La Trek in Sikkim. There are 3-4 huts which is used as a lodge and kitchen. There is a huge camping area which can accommodate many tents at a time. The main hut for sleep has one dining area and few rooms for trekkers to sleep. It's a beautiful location from where one can get clear views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and Mt. Pandim. The hut is well maintained however it is not very clean and neat. Since it is an open and sometimes windy campsite in Thansing, the trekkers hut is more convenient shelter for trekkers.

Just been here. It's a Trekker's dream. Left midnight to reach Gochala view point by 5 am. It's an achievement. Not all make it this far.
