It is okish station for the small towns like Namakkal.!nI think we need more trains via Namakkal from salem to karur ad then to madurai,bangalore,....!!nnBut we Namakkal people want to travel Karur for Trichy ,Dindugal trainsnand o salem jn for others trains!! only few trains are there in namakkal!!

Most of the trains come on Platform No.2 and people of all ages have to go through the subway where there is not even any railing to hold. Also in the absence of signboards indicating the compartments in the platform make passengers run helter shelter. No hide outs in times of rain in the platform. There is no public conveniences in the platform.
