This fort was never concord. Its high smooth semi spherical shape have no easy grove to climb. Attackers tried to go up and soldiers put oil to slip them from climbing even more they role stones and rocks that's without fire fears the enemy away. They have big well and lake above for their sustenance and a plateau for agricultural, palace and army to live.

Lovely place for a one day trip with friends or family. Rappelling is a must try and its only costs 800 bucks a person.nIt takes almost 2 hrs to reach from the city and the drive great as well.

An absolutely stunning trek site. A perfect Sunday drive from Hyderabad; it takes about one and a half hours to reach Bonghir Fort. A sleeping elephant like rock rises up to your eyes. Trek level is easy but be careful of monkeys. A must visit place but be respectful to the art, beauty and history of the place. A place to admire and revere nature and man's ambition.

Mesmerizing views from the top of the fort and definitely worth the climb. Not too far from hyderabad and really well connected with the highway and the ORR, this can be a perfect hike for those looking for great views, peace and some exercise. Not recommended for people who have difficulty in walking up stairs and slanted surfaces
