Overall a great gym, however, they have recently started moving a lot of equipment to an exclusive personal trainer-only area, meaning there is increasingly less equipment for the majority of the members. I would understand the personal training area having exclusive equipment if the PTs stayed in that area , but they don’t... the PTs and their clients workout on the regular floor just as often, so it results in highly demanded equipment (such as squat racks) collecting dust in a secluded “personal training area” while most members are in need of this equipment and cannot access it. It just doesn’t make sense.

I went into the BSC in Allston today to cancel because I moved. I was helped by an Australian guy and a manager named Meghan. They were both really nice and helpful. Let me know there was actually a club near where I moved and let me know how to transfer my membership rather than have to rejoin. I went and checked it out. Decided to transfer my membership. The whole process was really simple and they made it easy to where I didn't have to come back to Allston to have this done. Thank you both!

A pretty decent sized gym with well maintained equipment. Covid precautions are on point with masks mandatory and cleaning and sanitizing equipment within 10ft distance from anywhere in the gym. Staff is friendly and helpful

New to the area. Avid exerciser who needed a gym. Reasonably priced. Nice staff. Clean. Taking this Covid stuff seriously. Would recommend, something for everyone. Thanks for your help Lisa!

I had to cancel my membership since they require masks now while exercising. Which is absurd. If it’s rules they think they’re following, even the World Health Organization says don’t wear them while exercising since they get wet with sweat and become germ magnets, including for covid 19, which is obvious. If it’s the local laws requiring it then they should be fighting the city on its nonsensical position. Not to mention in fitness we’ve been taught to never obstruct our breathing like that. This gym is now an unsafe environment simply using the public’s perception of masks to look safe.
