Alappuzha Municipal Town Square also known as 'Nagara Chathwaram' a Malayalam word for the same. Earlier it was known as 'Municipal Maithanam (ground), where carnivals were set during Mullackal Chirappu - Alappuzha's famous Mullackal Temple Feast. Now there is an open air stage in which most of the programs were arranged.
