One of a kind experience. No matter when you visit. Just avoid peak noon hours, can get a bit hot in Bageshwar, being next to river

On bank of river Sarayu. In the ancient age Rushi Markandey stopped the flow of river to go ahead to Ayodhya. So, Sarayu prayed to Lord Shiva to help. Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati converted into Tiger and Cow. Bhagwan Shiva ran behind Maa Parvati. Rushi Markandey knew this. He break up his TAP. Mean while Lord shiva disappeared. Rushi knew that he was lord Shiva. After that he requested them to stay here. This temple known as Bagnath temple.

Old temple at the banks of river Gomti. Surroundings are picturesque. Other than lord shiva, other temples are also present in the complex.

A temple which date back to thousands of years and holds a lot spiritual importance.nThe temple was so very beautiful and I felt back to origins.
