Tower chowk is a popular place in the town. This is the main chowk that connects 4 different roads: Main road, thana road, palkot road and sisai road. Many shopping stores are available here. You can buy almost everything you need near this place. All the most popular stores are situated here. Stores like, Apurv Collection, Urvashi Complex, Gupta hardware, Menka store, National Sports, Mantri stores etc are situated here. This place is always a choice of people for protesting, celebrating events, any many other things. Traffic is usually high during the day time. The weekly market is also close to this place which makes this place a bit more crowded than usual. Tower chowk is also known as SHAHEED CHOWK. The name was changed about a decade ago but still most of the people call it with its older name i.e. TOWER CHOWK. Many bussed from different places have also made it like a mini bus stop area. They may drop you here if you want to. Otherwise the main drop off location is the Gumla Bus Stand which is about ½km from here.
