Ayurveda Yoga Villa, Holistic Research Centre

No longer competitive. Refused to return my deposit during a time of floods at the national disaster level. I’m researching wellness retreats in Kerala so I’ve been to a few; this place has luxury prices without the comfort expected at such rates in India. I give them two stars for the young staff (very young) who all seemed genuinely kind, and deeply in need of their demanding jobs. I personally would not chose to heal here. We left as soon as we could after arriving. Ended up at Niraamaya, so much more healing.

AYV is an holistic research centre and hospital with the most dedicated doctors and therapists and staff. I've been here twice for 30 days treatment. The accommodation is rather basic, but clean, and the surroundings are very peaceful. The daily program for body, mind and spirit starts at 5 a.m. and finishes with puja at 7 p.m. My photos give you a glimpse of the people and the activities at AYV.

this is not resort or spa. its ayurvedic treatment centre. if you are looking for ayurvedic treatment to be done this the the perfect place. they have good set of doctor who kwns marma ( nerve ) treatment . for any ayurvedic treatment you need minimum 15 to 30 days. but ya you will be treated to the root. they have their own gosala and farm. so food is on the house. authentic kerala cuisine which will be curated according to the treatment given . its fully surround by jungle and river flowing by near. so you breathe up pure air. there is yoga morning and evening.also you can learn kalari (martial art). the massage ladies are every courtesy and kwn thier job well.over all the experience. i wouldnt suggest this place for rejuvenation , its more a treatment centre. also kids i wouldnt suggest. its totally isolated place no mobile no WiFi . their is common computer which you cant use much. this is all because its treatment centre use of electronic items will harm your treatment.

Lovely place for rejuvenation relaxation or treatment. Great support staff and Doctors. On the banks of Kabini it's a pleasure to get lost looking at the river flow through... the yoga simple kerala food the morning rituals and the treatment are all part of a holistic treatment. You also get to meet some wonderful people from around the globe. Be prepared mentally about the panchakarmas; though it sounds quackish it's totally worth going through. The end results are wonderful. Highly recommend it but be ready to shell out 40k per week..
