Palakkad town railway station is the centre of the Palakkad City. This place is very neat and clean. Indian railway department is maintaining this place properly. There is enough parking space for both two wheelers and four wheeler's. In front of the railway station there is four ATM Counter which is really useful. In the platform sitting space for passengers is very less.....if this place is crowded you need to stand and wait for your train 🚆 That's quite disappointing.

A very useful railway station. Should not be confused with Palakkad junction. Palakkad junction railway station is in Olavakkode and Palakkad town railway station is near to municipal bus stand

Traffic free market

Nice station, improved now.. Far improved from the old look. Facilities getting added. Trains needs to be increased.. Old good times of this station can be regained if number of trains to palani, madurai and rameshwaram gets increased and connects upto rameshwaram
