“ Silent Valley National Park is a beautiful representation of the last remaining rain forest of Kerala. Historically it’s a paradigm of people’s movement to protect the forest. ” Silent Valley was declared as National Park in 1984 and formally inaugurated in the year 1985. Initially there was only 89.52 sq.km. area under the Division which forms the core zone of the National Park. In 2007, an area of 148 sq.km. was added to this Division as buffer zone.

This is a different type of tourism spot in Kerala. Its a beautiful forest area. And also take permission from Forest department. No entry for private or public vehicles to this area. Its a calm 'n' quiet, pretty place

The Silent Valley National Park, with its lush green forests and beautiful views of the rich flora, is a popular destination for nature and wildlife lovers in Kerala. With its long, detailed history and the unique status of a Rain Forest, this national park is truly a sight to visit. The well-planned Safari and the beautiful stop-overs around the park only make a trip to this part of Kerala more worthwhile.awesome place.
