It is a Government VHS school under Department of General Education, Kerala.The school is located on the outskirts of Kollam City in a serene and beautiful place surrounded by places of worship. About 1000 students are studying in High School, Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary wings. Here Vocational Higher Secondary students have the opportunity to pursue internationally accredited NSQF Engineering courses in addition to the Higher Secondary Plus Two Science Group course. Currently, engineering courses like Auto Service Technician and Plumber General are offered. Another feature of this school is the presence of the National Service Scheme unit which has gained remarkable recognition through its many socially responsible activities.
