Amala Hospital Thrissur

An old hospital which was the best at those times. Has failed to keep up the infrastructure according to the times.

Peaceful atmosphere. Giving great care for patients.

Holy Mass is held at early morning at 0600 AM and late evening at 0600 PM daily. As there is no announcement of routine program being held in parish churches, The Holy Mass will be over within an hour. Nearby parishioners participate in the Holy Mass and the chapel is always full for the Holy Mass. On Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter midnight mass, Christmas midnight mass is held at Amala Hospital Auditorium with all sitting arrangements for more people to participate in the Holy Mass with priests of Amala Hospital management.

Doctors and all other staffs are good to care .But call nor getting to reception its feel bad..

Amala hospital is one of the best hospitals around Thrissur. But I like to give a feedback to the management for improvement on their services to outpatient. Today I had booked for a specialist about two months back for my father. They just gave number as token of appointment. I have taken my father who is aged 82 to the hospital in the morning by 9 am. Then the wait for the doctor starts. We had no clue by when the doctor will be available for the consultation. The waiting was so tiring. I saw everywhere hundreds of patients waiting for their turn. After the long wait we could meet the doctor by 1 pm after a wait of 4 hours. This looks to be so painful for the patients to wait. As we all know India is the biggest exporter of software. Why we should not have such a software where the patients can be well informed about the approximate time of meeting the doctor and keeping the patients updated the information on doctors availability. Of course doctors may have some emergencies to attend to . Important thing is to keep the patients informed about the meeting time with the doctor. In this case my father even did not go to toilet thinking that he would loose his chance if the doctor arrived during that time. I am sure, Amala hospital being one of the pioneers in the hospital sector, I request the management to introduce latest software for the proper communication which can improve the productivity of the patients as well as the doctors and staff of the hospital. I know even if you don’t initiate still the patients will wait for the appointment for hours together, but please think of giving a better service to the unfortunate people. Thanks.
