A very fine variety of choices to choose from in this 5 star hotel. The quality is top notch and the service is impeccable. Yoi will find more than something for your liking here. Must try the Chinese section if you like that. The desserts could do with some improvement.
We had buffet. It was quite ok, taste and spread wise.nOptions were also limited and taste was also not upto the mark. When a person is paying 3200 bucks for dinner buffet per person, expectations are also little higher. Which they didn't deliver.
I have been a regular visitor here and this is probably my 10th visit here but this time it was all wrong.nThe buffet was par excellence on all three levers of spread, service and quality.nThe spread has been halved from previous and rate has been increased, this is big disappointment for a brand like Westin. The service has also become poor, it is slower and non responsive for most part of our dinner. The Quality is also something I am not too happy about, the taste lacked in a lot of dishes. All three were beyond-excellence before covid but stands no where now.
Food -nFood is tasty, not a very big buffet though, but whatever they serve in food items are very good and delicious.nnDeserts -nBelow average.nnAmbient -nI am cutting down the 2 stars because of the layout of their restaurant, they have a couple of live counters and because of that there is so much noise of the utensils and all, didnt like that.nnStaff -nTheir staff is polite and well behaved but they are always too busy, have to remind them twice for breads.nnCrowd -nThe people who come here are from nearby places only and gurgaon is a mixture of decent and below average crowd so you can expect what kind of people you will get to see here.nnAll in all an average experience.nWill never consider going again here but wont say it was bad, you can have a dinner here anyday.nnOpen till 11nnNearbuy couplons accepted.
Visited The Westin, Gurgaon, for a short stay.nThis place is right in the middle of the city but doesnt feel like it. Feels as if someone is very near to the nautre. Felt good with a peaceful getaway, this place has a bery pleasant ambience.nnThe dining is again an experience of its own. The Seasonal Tastes has a verity of dishes and really yummy ones.nThe head chef, Mr. Shadab Qureshi has really great food to offer. Starting with the breakfast menu, with amazing and fulfilling bakery items, the fruit danish is to die for. The lunch and dinner menu is just mouthwatering.nnWhen it comes to the Awadhi cuisine, not many will disagree that Chef Sadab Qureshi is a name to reckon with! Hailing from Lucknow - the city of Nawabs, chef leverages his expertise of working with the khansamas and ustaads to bring to you a heritage cuisine, considered a culinary legacy by many.nnHis knowledge of indigenous ingredients, authentic flavors, recipes, and techniques lends him a reputation that is second to none in the F&B industry.nnA few days ago, he curated 'The Royal Flavors of Awadh Chef's Table' at Seasonal Tastes, The Westin Gurgaon. I was lucky to meet him and even taste a variety of decadent Awadhi delights that he had prepared like Bhuna Gosht Hussaini, Gilawat Ke Kebab, Nalli Nihari, Lahsoon Mirch Ka Jheenga, Murgh Makhani, Macchi ka Salaan, and more.nnThere were a plethora of vegetarian options as well like Nimona Tikki, Subz Lifafa, Khumb Lazeez Handi, Subz-e-Gulfam, Lahsooni Palak, etc.nnPaired perfectly with an assortment of Indian breads like Bah Khummach, Taftan, and Gilafi Kulcha, the menu also featured a sumptuous array of shorbas, biryanis, tikkas, and desserts from the land of Nawabs - highlighting, in essence, the chef's culinary prowess.nnGlad to spend my days here. Would definitely recommend this one to friends and family.
