Also called as Pr. Accountant General (Audit), Shimla. Earlier after the independence, this office served as the common accountant general office for Punjab, Haryana and Himachal pradesh. Also office of Accounts is also there. Later on after the formation of separate state of himachal, this now serves as separate office of Himachal pradesh only. Pension and accounts are dealt here. Also, different sections like Economic, Social, General and Admin are here to deal with the audits of various govt. dept. all over the himachal. The complex was built by Britishers called as Gorton Castle. Rest you know being a Govt. run institution. This heritage building was gutted in fire in 2014. The same has not been restored yet.

Wonderful historical building. One of the best in Shimla.

Visitors are not always allowed to enter the main building but pictures can be taken from outside. This place is nothing but just a official work place.
