Kasaragod railway station (KGQ) is a major railway station serving Kasaragod Town. The station has three platforms and three tracks. There is a ticket booking counter, enquiry counter & ticket reservation counter. Restaurant, Book Stall, Waiting Rooms & public restrooms/ washrooms are on Platform Number 1. Station Platforms are neat and well maintained. There are waiting seats on Platforms. There are many trains which pass through this station to various parts of India. Many Local/ Express trains pass via this station. Good Parking Space outside the station.

Main railway station in Kasargod district more than 80 trains have stop in this station three track 3 platform town 2 km far away The northernmost district of Kerala,Kasaragod is world renowned for its coir and handloom industries. Fishing is a prime source of livelihood. Kasaragod is known as the land of gods, forts, rivers, hills and beautiful beaches. The fort at Bekal is the largest and best preserved in the State.

Good clean station. Though it's an A class station facility is not that much available. Need development. The station needs more waiting area and roofs. Kanhangad is far better.
