Fantastic experience. We took the 11-6pm kayaking trip and it was amazing. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable about local culture and wildlife - the kayaking routes we took were all incredible ... really small little canals full of village life.nnMy wife and 4 year old son came along too and all thoroughly enjoyed it although they did opt to rest in the support boat for one of the trips.nnWe all agreed this was the best thing we'd done in India during the whole holiday.

Kayaking in the backwaters of Kerala is hands down one of the best experiences I've had in India. You get access to the quiet canals of the backwaters which are inaccessible to the houseboats and thereby get a completely different experience. Our guide Samson had excellent knowledge about the area, the animals and life in general. Can only recommend!

The experience was wonderful, great to see the backwaters from the kayak. We were picked up on time for the morning sunrise trip and taken to the location for the activity. We felt safe with Sam, he is very experienced and knowledgable of the local area. He provided good nuggets of information of the areas we kayaked around, wildlife and plants/trees. We would recommend this activity for those who want a more personal experience of the backwaters compared to doing the houseboats and for those who aren’t afraid of doing some exercise. It is a better environmentally friendly way to experience the backwaters too! Improvements: their website could be updated, a quick health and safety talk prior to jumping in the kayaks may have been useful & that gentle arms stretches prior to starting the activity would have been useful :)

Worst behaviour! The service was very poor..v asked for coffee he said that he didn't have coffee powder after buying coffee powder he says he didn't have milk.. because of this he purposely added a lottttt of chilly powder in nyt chicken gravy..later for asking he talks unwantedly

The tour itself is a good idea if you want to catch a glimpse of the more intimate life of the locals inhabiting the backwaters. Indeed the smaller canals cannot fit the abominable houseboats and are so much quieter. A shikkara boat will follow you around and there will be snacks and lunch provided.nnThe tour guide himself, Samson, is very knowledgeable about the surroundings and open-minded who can easily hold a quality conversation on any topic regarding Indian culture.nnWould 100% recommend!
