This is an international museum in Alleppey, which proved surprisingly interesting, and well-curated. Coir is coconut fibre, extracted from the outer husk of coconut. The museum sets out the history of the manufacture and uses of coir, such as beds, mats and carpets, which were still being made on the premises. It's colourful, interactive, and engaging.

Great place to visit. They have maintained the museum very well and you can lot of things made of coir. The museum tells the story of coir using a quick video show. Plus guides are very helpful. A must visit when you are in town. Also - they have a training centre which people can view and see how they build coir products.
