School of Ayurveda and Panchakarma

I did a 2 week Ayurvedic bodywork course. As a massage therapist I’ve done multiple short courses before. This place gives your more theory-based knowledge, barely any practical. The director (Rajesh) is great with you initially until you get to know him he will be giving you information that is most of the time NOT true. Eg Told me that the school is in walkable distance from the homestay place but in reality takes 45min or more if you want to walk it. Another eg for providing me an answer if the tax invoice can be given or not...I didn’t get the answer until I asked someone else. The material that is provided in the syllabus does not match - they will skip things in the textbook. I was disappointed. I did ask him if this will be covered but just told me that is not part of the 2 weeks course but the whole month course. It is purely misleading. I did tell him to update the syllabus for no confusion for future students. Dr Sapna taught the core Ayurvedic material - she is great at teaching but can be intimidating sometimes. But if you require straight answers about the school, ask her as she will not give you any indirect answers.nnYoga - I did the beginners course. Wouldn’t recommend this one... to be greatly honest, there was too much language barriers between the students and the teacher. If you want to do Yoga, go to Mysore or Rishikesh.nnAccomodation- they will give you a choice between beach house or Indian host family. I chose the host family option so I can learn more about the Indian culture. I personally did think this was a better option than the beach house, it was newly furnished. The host mother was sweet and she was genuinely nice. However when it came to payment, it was the son-in-law (Renith) who took care of it - I was charged more than what was written in the given information. Definitely should clarify at the beginning regarding the amount. With the same amount of money I would’ve stayed at a hostel around the place as the transport from your accommodation to school is included.nnIn summary, It was great to learn about the fundamental concepts of Ayurveda but this can definitely be learnt elsewhere with proper structure. Probably best to do what I did - opt for 2 weeks and if you like it, continue to do 1 month. I didn’t, like it so I decided to discontinue. Hope this information helps.

Amazing!! Was exactly what the course outline stated! Days were intense, fitting so much in. Always available to listen and offer help or advice when needed. I could never have left my family for 3 months so the offer of this course is great. Although at times tough with the study, it is well worth it!! What I learned here both on paper and in my heart I could never have got at home. I am forever grateful for this experience and the amazing teachers. Highly recommend!!

The treatment here changed my life. It was an incredibly beautiful experience. After two weeks I started feeling fantastic. Everyday I looked in the mirror and saw the changes. I feel inner peace and compassion. Before my life was full of stress and I suffered from repetitive headaches. Now I live a balanced life in peace. But more importantly my headaches are gone. The course has enriched my life with happiness. People think I am 20 years younger than my physical age.

Very disappointed with the bad attendance. i'm trying for over 3 months to book a course with the school, they check the messages, but no return. We pay for it, and then there is no response to nothing at all. Very frustating with it, and with the money i spent.

Am radhakrishna from Hyderabad in the year of 2012 I went for training Ayurvedic Panchkarma and massage therapy, it was nice experience with doctor Rajesh Devan and Dr Swapna Devan, for the past 7 years I am in this ayurvedic industry lot of knowledge I gained with his centre, nice teaching staff and very cooperative doctors who are giving training to many peoples, thank you doctor Rajesh Devan .
