I only saw a small portion of the northern part of the national park, & it looks like a great place for trekking & camping. I began from Devi temple at bottom of a hill, climbed up till a road, walked along road. Then found a Jain temple with beautiful intricate carvings close to a farm along Eastern Express Highway. ud83cudfde

Best place to get closer to the the nature. Always good vibes in here.nI usually spend some weekends over here with my friends.nTo add fun to the trip you can get bicycle for rent at the entrance and ride it till kanheri caves. Its kinda exhausting but if you got your friends with you, believe me its more fun.

Sanjay Gandhi National Park is a 87 km2 (34 sq mi) protected area in Mumbai, Maharashtra State in India. It was established in 1996 with headquarters at Borivali.[1] It is notable as one of the major national parks existing within a metropolis limit and is one of the most visited parks in the world.nnThe rich flora and fauna of Sanjay Gandhi National Park attracts more than 2 million visitors every year. Tourists also enjoy visiting the 2400-year-old Kanheri caves sculpted out of the rocky cliffs which lies within the park.

Healthy place. Natural vegetation. Fully green and sufficient pure air. Rarely cheetah can be seen. For animals you have to enter deeper inside the jungle. Good for trekking.
