Love the food n ambience..good place to hv mid way snacks or spent quality time with friends

Well, as a carnivore, I do prefer the old Jiva with its chicken sizzlers and the like, but this place is okay too. Had their tomato rice, once... was quite good. Like the authentic ones I've had down south. The ambiance isn't very much like a restaurant...it kinda felt like a food court... but the staff are really nice

This authentic south Indian eatery is located just near the main intersection of Police bazaar. Being a budget traveler the price mentioned in the menu gave me goosebumps.But once you taste the food here you tend to forget that this is an expensive restaurant. The place is neat and clean. Staff is very well trained.Ambiance of this place is perfect and food hear is mouth watering. For some one who wants to eat south Indian food in Shillong this is the best place. Gets a bit crowded in peak season.

Can be better. I wish there'd be variety in terms of South Indian Cuisine.nFor a SI cuisine lover, this is the place to be.nnHowever, their service is something praiseworthy. Very prompt and disciplined staff.

Jiva South is a paradise for good Veg food and south Indian snacks. Very well maintained restaurant. Neat and tidy and great Ambience. The staff is well groomed and polite. Service is great. Food portion is a lot for a single person and can be shared among 2 people. V tasty and healthy food. Less oily and hygenic kitchen. Over all I would like to rate them a 5 Star and best wishes for high standards in the restaurant business.
