*EDIT: Just a warning for those who care; Apparently Anytime Fitness doesn’t require members to wear a mask as long as you can keep 6 feet away. When I came in at night nobody was wearing a mask. I guess this gym cares more about money/politics instead of science and ethics. This is absurd especially in a gym, because even though a mask doesn’t protect you %100, it reduces the droplets you release if you’re asymptomatic. A mask should be mandatory at the gym because even if nobody is around you, you can still be spreading the virus into the air and equipment, a tiny antibacterial wipe or paper towel will help a little but wearing a mask will also help to lower chances of transmission. Again, just like the CDC says none of this is always going to be %100 effective, but these measures can possibly save a life. Of course, nobody is forcing anyone to come to this gym, but it would be nice to be able to go to this convenient gym and just have that extra layer of protection like almost all the major gyms are doing because it’s mostly about protecting others who are now at a higher chance of transmission by being at a gym doing the bare minimum. Even if you don’t care about yourself, you should care about the health of your employees, patrons, and possibly someone’s family member you could infect. So in response to saying you cannot “police” people wearing masks, just look at other gyms who make masks mandatory rather than your mediocre “mask optional under certain circumstances” which people clearly aren’t following here. I’m not a scientist, neither are you, so just look it up from the actual science (CDC/WHO) rather than the bare minimum that the county/state requires which can be motivated by politics instead of unbiased science. You can successfully run your business just like all the other major gyms in the valley are doing by making masks mandatory until we have a vaccine. It might be “uncomfortable and annoying” but it’s not forever. I understand you might not agree and will come up with reasons on why a mask doesn’t have to be mandatory at ALL times in a GYM, but that’s on your conscience. Stay safe and hopefully you can get your business to reconsider and step up ✌ufe0f
A 5 star gym based on equipment and space but loses a star because it's pretty unorganized. A lot of this falls on members who refuse to rerack weights or put stuff back but could be solved easily by having staff walk around a few times a day to make sure everything is in its place. This happens at pretty much every gym I've ever been to and might give members a little more incentive to take care of the place better on their own. They are doing a great job with a daily cleaning crew and adequate wipes and hand sanitizers but just need that little extra push to get to 5.
Amazing facility! Very clean, well maintained. Awesome staff! Friendly Manager Nate & amazing trainers like Josh!
Great gym. One of the better Anytime. Clean. Good equipment. If you worry about mask, go outside or stay home.
Very close to 5 stars here. What strikes me most about this particular Anytime, is the acceptance of serious lifters. It is very hard to come by a chain gym that allows for serious lifting. Most gyms I go to I get warned for grunting when I’m pushing myself very very hard. Not at this gym though, and it is greatly appreciated to lift at a gym I feel welcomed at. In addition, the trainers are always very friendly, and when I sometimes do go a touch too far, they let me know in a kind manner without being stand-off-ish. The equipment here is phenomenal, as good if not better than you can find at higher priced gyms. The only drawback is that it is so cold! It’s gotta be in the 50’s in there which makes it insanely difficult to keep a pump throughout your lift and keep your core temperature up. Other than that it is for sure 5 stars. Very good gym, very good staff, and a good place for serious or recreational lifters alike.
