It is a farmland irrigation reservoir. This dam is huge. It stretches from Ankuli to Khodasinghi. It is also called the groom's dam, because there were many large grove trees on this dam hood. In the past, this dam was the only way to get from Ankuli to Khodasinghe. There used to be farmland around the dam but now the population on that farm is growing. New Sahi, Nigam Nagar is surrounded by it. The Berhampur Tennis Training Center is located on the north side of the dam, with paddy cultivation on the east side and water supply from the dam. Many people in Ankuli and Khodasinghe still meet the needs of bathing, cleaning and other ancillary water.
