It's a visiting place at the time of Makara Sakranti which falls at the time of mid January. There is a temple in which Devi is worshipped for about 7 days ,so, a fest is there for those days. There is a small river called the Reva which passes through it making the place holy. So it's mostly a religious place special for the locals. Outsiders can also enjoy it along with the opera shows(Odia) at nights .
