Beautiful place. dolls made from cloth scraps collected by late Sh. Nek Chand from tailors' shops from across the city during the 1970s. Installation of unique mud huts with ornamental decorations, artificial trees with spreading branches provide the necessary ethnic context to the dolls. Women are depicted spinning the charkha, cooking, enjoying conversations with each other and celebrating festivals and weddings, dressed in colourful clothes and their day to day jewellery. Similarly, men are clad in dhoti, kurtas, and pagris, and are shown smoking hukkas, discussing village affairs in the chaupal, meditating under the trees and dancing in wedding processions.

Quite interesting to see the museum, tiny and colourful. Presentation of culture.nthere should be exit gate near to main gate because one have to go back so long to exit.

The doll museum is a frankly very creepy part of the rock garden. It can only be accessed via the rock garden. The rock garden itself is a very strange place attracting a large number of tourists. The story behind the garden is that one man secretly built thousands of strange statues covering a huge area. I find this quite hard to believe - both the secrecy and the single man part given the garden is right next to the capital complex.
