Ajmer fort and Museum, in Ajmer, in the Indian state of Rajasthan, was once the residence of Prince Salim, the son of Akbar and presently houses a collection of Rajputana and Mughal armour and sculpture. Construction of this was commissioned by Akbar, in 1570. This is the location, from where Salim as the Emperor Jahangir, read out the farman, permitting, the British East India company, to trade with India. The Government of India, established the Museum, for preservation and study of unique and rare relics, collected from the various states of Rajputana. There are various sections and galleries which have exhibits, from all the principalities, of the erstwhile Rajputana.

I like history, my wife likes museum. Therefore, we usually go to museums of visited city. Ajmer museum is beautiful place. Officers are coordinating and helpful. Museum building and architecture is, itself, like a museum. However, entry of I'll mannered people should not be allowed. I found one alcoholic taking my wife photo without her permission. Nevertheless, the security officer helps in clearing the dispute. Must to go for history lovers, sculptures lovers and art.
