This Railway station is only meant for train crossing. Out of 20+ trains are crossing this station every day, a daily train from Nagercoil to Coimbatore fast passenger is the only train boarding passenger here. செங்குளம் ரயில் நிலையம் தற்போது கிராசிங் ரயில் நிலையமாக உள்ளது

Sengulam Railway Station has an unique responsibility of stationing almost every train till the next train passes through the station from the opposite direction.
