Nice place...center place to visit Manimutharu dam & water falls...But transport facilities are not good to manimutharu, since it's a tourist spot. Need to arrange or hire own vehicle.

One of the in between station in 'Tirunelveli to Sengottai' route. It is a basic station with basic facilities. There is a shelter for two wheelers outside the station.

The 19.13 mile long metre gauge railway line from Tinnevelly to Kallidaikurichi opened on 1-6-1902.It was the first phase of the British section of the Tinnevely-Quilon railway.The 31.28 mile long section between Kalliadaikurichi and the British frontier near Shencottah opened on 1st August 1908.
