Palayamkottai

A small station between Tirunelveli to Tiruchendur. Station having a ticket counter, a train platform, two wheeler parking and very old waiting area. Hopefully the waiting area will be reconstructed, don't know when it will collapse, too old already. The platform height is much lower than train steps. Trains stops here only for few seconds, passengers have to be very careful while boarding the train.

I visit Palayamkottai once in few years and make sure I visit this place whenever I can. Good place to chill and of course a good departure point for those who want to catch a train. Don't expect facilities at this station. There are no foodstalls & restroom.
