Well connected to the city. A long ride inside with facilities provided at entrance only. A serene, quiet place to visit in the winter months. A small gallery also present inside depicting bird species.

A birder's paradise.. A must visit placenEntry gate is difficult to find, and don't rely on Google maps as u may reach on the other side of sanctuary..entry gate is on Hardoi-sandi road..nA great place for birding... list of birds that i saw include 6 pairs of sarus cranes with 2 juvenilesnPied kingfisher,White thraoted kingfisher,Grey heron Purple heron,Ibis,Egrets,Eurasian wrynecknHoopoe, greater coucal, crested lark, comb duck, purple moorhen, bronze winged jacana and many more.. all these in a span of just 3 hoursnBest time to go... November and February.nAvoid going from 15 Dec to 20 Jan becoz of fog.. Away from city life its a beautiful place for birds.. only consnThe sanctuary is big with a path 7.6kms long to walk, difficult to walk so long with camera gear.. no guides there... although they provide a guide book.. also the birds are far.. not like Bharatpur bird sanctuary ..nA must visit for bird enthusiasts
