Graceland Cemetery

This place is special, especially in the fall when the leaves are changing color. This is a little tranquil oasis to escape the commotion of the city. The small lake in the center is a nice place to have a picnic around. If you are a fan of architecture you will enjoy the design of the different headstones and burial chambers, some of which are huge!

This beautiful cemetery felt like a walk through time. The dates remind us how precious life is. From mere babies to wise sages, their stories cause us to reflect and take stock in being more present.

I walked by this place for years and never thought to go inside. My mistake. The pandemic forced me to explore my neighborhood more and thankfully, I found this place. One of the most beautiful and peaceful spots in the whole city. Lovely all year round.

Beautiful cemetery with clearly a lot of love given to it. The Clark entertance is easily accessible, I would recommend a drive through the cemetery over a walk. I would also make sure to have a nap pulled up when navigating, there are a lot of driving paths that are easy to get confused and lost on.

This is a nice place to see fall leaves and get away from the hustle and bustle of Chicago. Very quiet and peaceful.
