We are from out of town my husband and I came out here for a small trip after our wedding. We wanted something far away from the cities a nice place to relax. We went in to purchase some liquor to celebrate on our honey moon I grabbed the liquor I wanted and placed it on the counter. I was at the register waiting to pay. The lady asked for my ID I gave it to her. My husband was near the exit waiting for me and they lady asked if he also had an ID my husband had forgot his wallet at the place we were staying. She stated that since he didn’t have an ID she could sell to us. This has never been an issue in my life before. All I want to say is I’m pretty sure if the color of our skin had been different this wouldn’t have been a problem. That lady was rude but no worries I went to go spend my money elsewhere.
Fergus Falls has two city run liquor stores - my post is about the newer store located on the west side of town ... close to I-94 and numerous other businesses. The first thing you notice is a large area for parking, it's totally black topped which keeps it very clean!! The interior has always been neat and tidy; their options are MANY and VARIED [wines, wine coolers, liqueurs, champagnes, hard liquors, beer, mix, pop, drink accessories ...]. I saved the BEST for last: the staff are upbeat and checkout is efficient; they're knowledgeable about their inventory and more than willing to answer any ???s; they offer to help you find anything - including calling the downtown store to see if they have certain products. Fergus Falls is fortunate to have this business!
Great selection for a Liquor store in Fergus. Had exactly what I was looking for. Fast polite service.
